Bible Verses about 'Fall'

So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.Let us then make every effort to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall by following that example of refusing to believe.
The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces.A wise man will heed commandments, but a babbling fool will come to grief.
But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
Let my teaching fall on you like rain; let my speech settle like dew. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants.Let my teaching fall down like rain, and my words descend like the dew. Like rain upon the sprouts, and like showers upon the grass.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For all have sinned and thereby are deprived of the glory of God, and all are justified by the gift of his grace that is given freely through the redemption in Christ Jesus.
If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.
So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. Therefore, let us cease passing judgment on one another, but rather judge never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval. What right do you have to pass judgment on someone else’s servant? The master will determine whether that servant will stand or fall. But the servant will be upheld, for the Lord has the power to enable him to stand.
What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them can fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth far more than any number of sparrows.
Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.Entrust your cares to the Lord, and he will uphold you; he will never allow the righteous to waver.
But most of all, my brothers and sisters, never take an oath, by heaven or earth or anything else. Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned.Above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth, or use any oaths at all. Let your “Yes” mean “Yes” and your “No” mean “No.” Otherwise you may be condemned.
So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, be diligent in providing a firm foundation for your call and election. If you do this, you will never stumble, and you will receive a glorious welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.Let those who are wise understand these words, and let the prudent acknowledge them. For straight are the ways of the Lord; the upright walk in them, but sinners stumble.
Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.Brethren, if anyone is detected committing a transgression, you who are spiritual must set him right in a spirit of gentleness. Meanwhile, you should take care so that you yourselves are not tempted.
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! Father!”
O Israel, my faithless people, come home to me again, for I am merciful. I will not be angry with you forever.Return, rebel Israel, says the Lord. I will not look upon you in anger. For I am merciful, says the Lord; my wrath will not continue forever.
He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. He will not permit your foot to stumble; he who guards you will not fall asleep.
The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever. The grass may wither and the flower may fade, but the word of our God will endure forever.
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.I keep the Lord always before me, for with him at my right hand I will never fall.
Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!Stay awake and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak.
Their ways are futile and foolish. They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol. They decorate it with gold and silver and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over. Their gods are like helpless scarecrows in a cucumber field! They cannot speak, and they need to be carried because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of such gods, for they can neither harm you nor do you any good. For the carved images of the nations are powerless; they are nothing more than wood cut from a forest, fashioned with a knife by craftsmen and embellished with silver and gold. Then they are fastened with hammers and nails to prevent them from toppling. Like scarecrows in a cucumber field they are unable to speak, and they must be carried from place to place since they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they can do no harm, nor do they have any power to do good.
Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.Take care, brethren, that none of you will ever have an evil and unbelieving heart that will cause you to forsake the living God.
Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.For all of us fall short in many ways. Anyone who never makes a mistake in speech has reached perfection and is able to control every part of his body.
