| And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. | And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.” |

| And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring. | You have the fringe so that, when you see it, you will remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and not follow the lust of your own heart and your own eyes. |
| Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. | The Lord your God you shall follow, him alone you shall fear, his commandments you shall keep, his voice you shall obey, him you shall serve, and to him you shall hold fast. |

| I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God. | I the Lord am your God; follow my statutes, and be careful to observe my ordinances, and hallow my sabbaths that they may be a sign between me and you, so that you may know that I the Lord am your God. |
| Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children. | Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. |
| And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. | You may say to yourself, “How can we recognize a word that the Lord has not spoken?” If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it. |
| Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. | Happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways. |
| Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. | Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. |
| Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. | Turn my heart to your decrees, and not to selfish gain. |
| Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. | Happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. |
