Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Foot'
- When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil. - He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. - But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
My feet have closely followed his steps;
I have kept to his way without turning aside. - But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.
- Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me. - You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. - “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
- You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
- “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
then you will find your joy in the Lord,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground. - To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
