For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
Those who withhold kindness from a friend forsake the fear of the Almighty.Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry).Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.
Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
