Bible Verses about 'Get'

The beginning of wisdom is: acquire wisdom, and no matter what the cost, acquire understanding.Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding.
Acquire wisdom and gain understanding; never forget or turn aside from my words.Get wisdom. Get understanding. Don’t forget, and don’t deviate from the words of my mouth.
It is better to acquire wisdom rather than gold, and more desirable to acquire understanding rather than silver. How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yes, to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name. Now why do you wait? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Welcome anyone whose faith is weak, but do not get into arguments about doubts. Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.
Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth, and cease even to think about it.Don’t weary yourself to be rich. In your wisdom, show restraint.
A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life; a poor man never has to worry about such threats. The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats.
The labors of the wicked man produce little profit, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
However, now that you have been freed from sin and bound to the service of God, the benefit you receive is sanctification, and the end is eternal life. But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life.
Teach us to comprehend how few our days are so that our hearts may be filled with wisdom. So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Blessed is the person who has found wisdom, the one who has gained understanding.Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.
Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul; one who cherishes understanding will prosper. He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.
Everyone who seeks a prize submits himself to rigorous self-discipline in every respect. They do so to win a perishable crown, while we seek an imperishable one.Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.
A generous person will be enriched; he who refreshes others will also be refreshed. The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.
You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.
Therefore, rid yourselves of everything sordid and of every wicked excess, and welcome in all humility the word that is implanted in you and is able to save your souls. Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
Guide my steps in accord with your word and never let evil triumph over me.Establish my footsteps in your word. Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me.
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.
Do not swerve either to the right or to the left; keep your foot far from evil.Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil.
Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well.Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Therefore, whenever you give alms, do not trumpet your generosity, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets in order to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have already received their reward. Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.
Speak out and pronounce righteous judgments; defend the rights of the wretched and the poor.Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy.
The lips of a fool cause strife, and his mouth provokes a flogging.A fool’s lips come into strife, and his mouth invites beatings.
Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but he who mingles with fools will suffer harm. One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.

Wash yourselves and become clean; remove your evil deeds far from my sight. Cease to do evil.Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil.
