You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” | Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. |

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. | Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. |
If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. | And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good. |
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. | Indeed, all who want to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. |
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? | He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? |
And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. | But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment. |
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” | Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” |
All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. | Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God. |
Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” | Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” |
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. | But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation. | Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. |
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. | You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. |
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. | Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all! |
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” | They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” |
And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. | Who is the one who overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? |

He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! | He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. |
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.” | But when Jesus heard this, He responded to him, “Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well.” |
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain. Stay there, and I will give you the tablets of stone on which I have inscribed the instructions and commands so you can teach the people.” | Now the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay there, and I will give you the stone tablets with the Law and the commandments which I have written for their instruction.” |
Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” | So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” |
