- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to Yahweh. - As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
- Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart.
Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. - They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
- My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord.
Apart from you I have no good thing.” - Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
- But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.
- The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.”
- I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
- For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end.
- Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
- Commit your deeds to Yahweh,
and your plans shall succeed. - Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
- I will lift up my eyes to the hills.
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth. - You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you.
- I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live.
I will sing praise to my God while I have any being. - For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles,
that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’ - So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime.
In the night his song shall be with me:
a prayer to the God of my life. - Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless.
Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. - But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
- For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
- To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice. - Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good,
for his loving kindness endures forever. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears open to their prayer;
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
