Gods love (3/4)

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”
But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.
By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.
‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
