that the oppressed will be set free. - This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence. - Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.

or speak evil of their friends.
