Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
