I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!

And you covet something and cannot obtain it; so you engage in disputes and conflicts. You do not have, because you do not ask.
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?

I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths.I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness.
For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.You who want to be justified by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.”I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”
Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!Therefore whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops.
Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.

For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.I will satisfy the weary, and all who are faint I will replenish.
