O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit.I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
As far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us.He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

In Hades, where he was being tormented, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. He called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.’And he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side. The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’
So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.

He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
And having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.
Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last.Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.
But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”
No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of trouble; he protects those who take refuge in him.The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.
As they came from their mother's womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands.We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler, the Lord is our king; he will save us.For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us.
He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.

I cried aloud to him, and he was extolled with my tongue.For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed.But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it, for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.”
