But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
But if you seek the Lord, your God, and you strive with all your heart and your soul, you will find him there.But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
As Scripture asserts, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and truth.God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
The Lord is my portion, I say to myself; therefore, I will place my hope in him.“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
Blessed are those who observe his statutes and seek him with their whole heart.Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
While Peter was thus imprisoned, the Church prayed fervently to God for him.So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.
Beloved, we are God’s children now. What we shall be has not yet been revealed. However, we do know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he really is. Everyone who has this hope in him keeps himself pure, just as he is pure.Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
Every word of God has proved to be true; he is a shield to those who trust in him.Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
However, to those who did accept him and who believed in his name he granted the power to become children of God.But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty. The water that I will give him will become a spring of water within him welling up to eternal life.But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
And when he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.
Therefore, observe the commandments of the Lord, your God. Walk in his ways and fear him.So you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and by fearing him.
Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road.And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those who trust in his kindness.Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love.
The one who eats everything must not look contemptuously on the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed both.Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.
Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him.Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him.Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.
As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit.By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
If your brother should sin, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, and comes back to you seven times to say, ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him.If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.
In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles.This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.
The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.

Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
