While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought that it was a ghost, and they cried out; for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and said to them, “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid.”
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, And our pains that He carried; Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by God, and humiliated.
The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.Only be very careful to follow the commandment and the Law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God and walk in all His ways, and keep His commandments and cling to Him, and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’

Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.”
I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.”
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”But Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.”
And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.The afflictions of the righteous are many, But the Lord rescues him from them all.
But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.
“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.

For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.
