Guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.For he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold. My foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside.
And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love.But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you.Be sure to keep the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you.
Do not envy a man of violence and do not choose any of his ways, for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are in his confidence.Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways. For the Lord detests the perverse but takes the upright into his confidence.
As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.
And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
He will render to each one according to his works.God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”
Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.
And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.
And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’
A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
