- The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
- Without counsel plans fail,
but with many advisers they succeed. - Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established. - Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. - May he grant you your heart's desire
and fulfill all your plans! - O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - For the Lord God does nothing
without revealing his secret
to his servants the prophets. - The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually! - Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually! - He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works. - The Lord watches over the sojourners;
he upholds the widow and the fatherless,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. - May the Lord give strength to his people!
May the Lord bless his people with peace! - Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life;
he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
- Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples! - And you will say in that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord,
call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that his name is exalted.” - When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- And keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.
- I have not departed from the commandment of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food. - By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
- Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
