- There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
- Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.

- When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
- Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
