Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? | Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?” |
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. | “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again. “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” |
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. | Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” |
Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. | Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. | Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road. |
Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. | Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not my own; rather, it comes from him who sent me.” |
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. | As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus. |
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. | For: “If anyone wishes to love life and to experience good days, he must restrain his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.” |
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. | Jesus replied, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.” |
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. | Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.” |
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. | Indeed, persecution will afflict all who want to lead a godly life in Christ Jesus. |
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. | God abides in anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, and that person abides in God. |
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. | Jesus said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” |
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. | But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. | They answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and so too will your household.” |
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. | Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. |
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. | Jesus replied, “This is the work of God: to believe in the one whom he has sent.” |

And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews. | Above his head was inscribed the charge against him: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” |
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? | Who indeed conquers the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? |
But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. | When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.” |
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. | Jesus answered them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” |
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. | From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.” |
