| He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. | Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. |

| But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. | But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. |
| If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. | Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. |

Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. |
| This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. | Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him. |
| What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
| For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
