If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. | If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well. |
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. | Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor. |
If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing. | And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good. |

He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out. | One who walks in integrity walks securely, But one who perverts his ways will be found out. |
Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up. | Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary. |
