By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. | By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another. |
If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him. | If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him. |
If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. | And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. |
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. | If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. |
And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. | If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. |
For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end. | For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end. |
So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. | Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary. |
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us. | No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us. |
If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true. | If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. |
I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing. | I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly. |
If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. | If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. |
And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. | This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. |
So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. | So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. |
If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. | But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. |
For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him. | For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him. |
From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul. | But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. |
Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.” | And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.” |
And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him. | And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. |
But even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, and do not be intimidated. | But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread. |
In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? | In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. |
