Where can I go to hide from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to the heavens, you are there; if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there. | Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. |
If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. | If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well. |
Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth: it is better for you that I depart. What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? |
If anyone wishes to serve me, he must follow me. Where I am, there also will my servant be. If anyone serves me, my Father will honor that person. | If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. |
Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?” | Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” |
But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions. | But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses. |
However, if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you are upright in your dealings with your neighbor; if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods and thereby cause your own destruction, then I will allow you to live in this place, in the land that I gave as a permanent gift to your fathers long ago. | For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a person and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor follow other gods to your own ruin, then I will let you live in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever. |
If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
This is how everyone will know that you are my disciples: if you love one another. | By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another. |
