- If you love me,
you will keep my commandments. - Therefore, if the Son sets you free,
you then will truly be free. - If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
- If your brother should sin, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, and comes back to you seven times to say, ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him.
- My son, if your heart is wise,
then my heart will be glad. - Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
- If the world hates you,
be aware that it hated me
before it hated you. - In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have works.
- The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will permit you to find him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- If your brother wrongs you, go and take up the matter with him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.
- Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.”
- What then if you were to behold the Son of Man
ascend to where he was before? - If he refuses to listen to them, report it to the Church. And if he refuses to listen to the Church, treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector.
- But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience.
- Where can I go to hide from your spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to the heavens, you are there;
if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there. - Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth:
it is better for you that I depart.
For if I do not go away,
the Advocate will not come to you,
whereas if I go,
I will send him to you. - If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
- This saying can be trusted:
If we have died with him,
we shall also live with him. - What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- However, if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you are upright in your dealings with your neighbor; if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods and thereby cause your own destruction, then I will allow you to live in this place, in the land that I gave as a permanent gift to your fathers long ago.
- Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
- But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
- If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- If anyone wishes to serve me,
he must follow me.
Where I am,
there also will my servant be.
If anyone serves me,
my Father will honor that person. - This is how everyone will know
that you are my disciples:
if you love one another.
If you know me,
then you will know my Father also.
From now on you do know him.
You have seen him.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts:
he is the King of glory. Selah Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.Next verse! With image
