If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. | If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. |
“If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.” | “If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of armies, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.” |
For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have. | For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. |
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise. | Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. |
So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul. If you have found it, then there will be a reward: Your hope will not be cut off. | Know that wisdom is the same for your soul; If you find it, then there will be a future, And your hope will not be cut off. |
He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” | And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” |
Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. | Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. |
If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless. | If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless. |
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life? | For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul? |
It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all these commandments before Yahweh our God, as he has commanded us. | And it will be righteousness for us if we are careful to follow all this commandment before the Lord our God, just as He commanded us. |
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me. | Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. |
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. | Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. |
But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanses us from all sin. | But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. |
Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine. | Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine. |
But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. | But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. |
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” | Jesus said to him, “If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” |
For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ. | For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. |
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him? | So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him? |
If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. | If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. |
Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. | Search me, God, and know my heart; Put me to the test and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there is any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way. |
I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture. | I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. |
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. | Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. |
For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life. | For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. |
If anyone sins, doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, though he didn’t know it, he is still guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. | Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment. |
Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father. | As for you, see that what you heard from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. |
