Thereupon the Lord restored the prosperity of Job after he had prayed for his friends, and he enriched him with twice as much as he had possessed before. | And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. |
I have made a covenant with my eyes not to look with desire upon a virgin. | I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid? |

But I know that my Redeemer lives, and that at the end he will stand upon the dust. | For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. |
One who despairs should have the support of his friends even if he has forsaken the fear of the Almighty. | To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. |
Blessed is the man whom God reproves. Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. | Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. |

But the Almighty we cannot find; he is unequaled in power and judgment, and in his righteousness he will not violate justice. | Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. |
Then Job arose, tore his cloak, and shaved his head. He threw himself prostrate on the ground and said: “Naked I emerged from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return.
