| Whatever you ask in my name I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
| Whoever possesses the Son possesses life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not possess life. | The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. |
| And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. | And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment. |
| And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever. | I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever. |
| I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. | These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. |
| This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. | And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister. |
| This is how we can be certain that we abide in him and that he abides in us: he has given us a share in his Spirit. | By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit. |
| So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. | So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. |
| If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him. You have seen him. | If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him. |
| I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I do ask you to protect them from the evil one. | I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one. |
| Jesus then said, “I will remain with you only for a short time longer, and then I shall return to him who sent me.” | Therefore Jesus said, “For a little while longer I am going to be with you, and then I am going to Him who sent Me.” |
| And eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent, Jesus Christ. | And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. |
