Just (2/4)

The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith.Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.
Beloved, we are God’s children now. What we shall be has not yet been revealed. However, we do know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he really is. Everyone who has this hope in him keeps himself pure, just as he is pure.Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.”For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
However, if the wicked renounce all of the sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is right and just, they shall surely live; they shall not die.But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven. For all of his works are right, and all of his ways are just. Also, he is able to humble all those who follow the path of pride. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous. For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served but rather to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
My son, do not ignore the Lord’s discipline or refuse to accept his rebuke. For the Lord disciplines those whom he loves, just as a father chastises a beloved son.My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.
Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son.Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, the Lord your God disciplines you.
In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us.
Just as you do not know the path of the wind or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb, so you do not know the work of God, the Creator of all.As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.
O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you.Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.
Whatever moves and has life will be used for your food. I give you all these things, just as I have already given you every green plant. Only do not eat flesh along with its life, that is, with its blood.Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
The body is one, although it has many parts; and all the parts, though many, form one body. So it is with Christ. For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
For to you a thousand years are like a yesterday that has passed or one of the watches of the night. For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.
Beloved, I pray that everything is going well with you and that your bodily health is equal to that of your soul.Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
Bear with one another, and forgive one another if anyone has reason to be offended with another. You must forgive just as the Lord has forgiven you.Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
For the Lord loves the just, and he will not forsake his faithful ones. Those who follow evil paths will be destroyed, and the children of the wicked will be cut off.For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, make up one body in Christ, and individually we are all parts of one another. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
He who called you is holy. Therefore, be holy yourselves in all your conduct. For Scripture says, “Be holy, for I am holy.”But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
The righteous is remembered with blessings, but the name of the wicked fades away. The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the Church, the body of which he is the Savior.Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.
Seek good and not evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you as you claim he is.Seek good, and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you, as you have said.

Blessings are showered on the head of the righteous, but sorrow will cover the face of the wicked.Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

he who is faithful and just
