- As a deer longs for running streams,
so my soul longs for you, O God. - There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free man, there is no longer male or female. For all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
- John’s clothing was made of camel’s hair, with a leather loincloth around his waist, and his food consisted of locusts and wild honey.
- Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but the one who hates correction is stupid. - Therefore, we love because he first loved us.
- A man’s pride will bring him low,
but lowly souls will rise to honor. - To the loyal, you show yourself to be loyal;
to the blameless, you show yourself to be blameless. - Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- This is what love is:
not that we have loved God,
but that he loved us
and sent his Son as expiation for our sins. - Anyone who has received my commandments
and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me
will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him
and reveal myself to him. - O Lord, all my longing is known to you,
and my sighs are not hidden from you. - For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
- In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself.
- For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- This is my commandment:
love one another
as I have loved you. - Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
- Beloved,
since God loved us so much,
we should love one another. - The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it,
the world and all who live in it. - For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of the gospel will save it.
- I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
- My son, do not ignore the Lord’s discipline
or refuse to accept his rebuke.
For the Lord disciplines those whom he loves,
just as a father chastises a beloved son. - After he said this, he was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.
- And now it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. The life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
- The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is filled with his kindness. - No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us.
Jesus looked at them and said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life;
a poor man never has to worry about such threats. At dawn let me experience your kindness,
for in you I place my trust.
Show me the path I must walk,
for to you I lift up my soul.Next verse!With image
