Let’s (2/4)

For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.”For: “If anyone wishes to love life and to experience good days, he must restrain his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.”
Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.The one who eats everything must not look contemptuously on the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed both.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vanity, but humbly regard others as better than yourselves.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.Let no one delude himself. If anyone among you considers himself to be wise by worldly standards, he must become a fool in order to be truly wise.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.Let your attitude be identical to that of Christ Jesus.
Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!Let everything that breathes offer praise to the Lord. Alleluia.
Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.Let your kindness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled; be not afraid.
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.Do not let your hearts be troubled. You place your trust in God. Trust also in me.
Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor.
Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.Ensure that the path you tread is level, and then your ways will be sure.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
Let my mouth be filled with Your praise And with Your glory all the day.My mouth is filled with your praises as I relate your glory all day long.
Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification. Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth.Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory shine over all the earth.
Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.Guide my steps in accord with your word and never let evil triumph over me.
But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream.Rather, let justice flow like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you.Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze on what lies before you.
Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.Let the wicked abandon their ways and those who are evil their thoughts. Let them return to the Lord so that he may have mercy upon them; and to our God, for he is rich in forgiveness.
Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave. This must not be so with you. Instead, whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your servant.
Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right; The righteous walk in them, But transgressors stumble in them.Let those who are wise understand these words, and let the prudent acknowledge them. For straight are the ways of the Lord; the upright walk in them, but sinners stumble.
With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your precepts.
In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness. In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.Remember this, my beloved brethren: everyone should be quick to listen but slow to speak and slow to anger.

But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.All you need to do is to say ‘Yes’ if you mean ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ if you mean ‘No.’ Anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
