| Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. | However, to avoid the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. |
| Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. | Do not let kindness and fidelity leave you; fasten them around your neck and inscribe them on the tablet of your heart.
