Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh. Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord! O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!
So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!”On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise.Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.”
Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.
Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him.Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.
If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Yahweh are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.
My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart.My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.
But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
Let brotherly love continue. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.
Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man.Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
Make the path of your feet level. Let all of your ways be established.Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.

But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
