Bible Verses about 'Let'
- God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- Let your eyes look straight ahead.
Fix your gaze directly before you. - Oh come, let’s worship and bow down.
Let’s kneel before Yahweh, our Maker. - Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to Yahweh. - Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
- Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh,
since we have hoped in you. - Let everything that has breath praise Yah!
Praise Yah! - With my whole heart I have sought you.
Don’t let me wander from your commandments. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts.
Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him,
to our God, for he will freely pardon. - But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. - Let all that you do be done in love.
- Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
- Establish my footsteps in your word.
Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me. - In you, Yahweh, I take refuge.
Let me never be disappointed.
Deliver me in your righteousness. - Be exalted, God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be above all the earth! - For,
“He who would love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good.
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.
- So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
- Sing to Yahweh, for he has done excellent things! Let this be known in all the earth!
- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
- Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who hope in Yahweh. - Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
- Be exalted, God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth. - Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
- Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
- Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him.
- Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions. - If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.
- Wait for Yahweh.
Be strong, and let your heart take courage.
Yes, wait for Yahweh. - Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!”

- Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
- But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
- Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
- God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
- My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.
- Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
- But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
- So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
- Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
- My son, attend to my words.
Turn your ear to my sayings.
Let them not depart from your eyes.
Keep them in the center of your heart. - Who is wise, that he may understand these things?
Who is prudent, that he may know them?
For the ways of Yahweh are right,
and the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - Let brotherly love continue. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
- Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you.
Bind them around your neck.
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor,
and good understanding in the sight of God and man. - Make the path of your feet level.
Let all of your ways be established.
