- O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

- Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your good spirit lead me
on a level path. - Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
- Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.
- Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
- So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
- You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.
- My child, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. - Those who are wise understand these things;
those who are discerning know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them. - Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved.
