Life with God (3/4)

Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.
You will make known to me the way of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever. You will show me the path to life; you will fill me with joy in your presence and everlasting delights at your right hand.
And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life, And my dwelling will be in the house of the Lord forever.Only goodness and kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?My soul thirsts for God, the living God. When shall I come to behold the face of God?
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in abundance.
May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us nor forsake us.May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.
We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters. This is how we know what love is: he laid down his life for us, and we in turn must be prepared to lay down our lives for our brethren.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.
Hear, Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.Hear, O Israel, the Lord, our God, is Lord alone. You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.We also know that the Son of God has come and given us understanding so that we can know the one who is true. And we are in the one who is true, since we are in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread? The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid?
With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. With all humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in a spirit of love.
Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out with his hand, and take fruit also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. The Lord God said, “Behold, man has become like one of us, for he has knowledge of that which is good and that which is evil. Now, we must prevent him from reaching out and taking the fruit of the tree of life lest he eat it and live forever.” The Lord God cast him out of the Garden of Eden; henceforth he was to labor tilling the soil from which he had come.
“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”Yet even now, says the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; the one who comes to Me will not be hungry, and the one who believes in Me will never be thirsty.”Jesus answered them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
One who guards his mouth protects his life; One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.He who guards his mouth makes his life secure, but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall.
Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. For you are aware that you were ransomed from your futile way of life inherited from your ancestors not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. However, you, dear friends, must build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God as you await our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy, who will grant you eternal life.
Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat, to drink, and enjoy oneself in all one’s labor in which he labors under the sun during the few years of his life which God has given him; for this is his reward. This is the conclusion I have reached: it is fitting for a man to eat and drink and find satisfaction in the results of his labors under the sun during the brief span of life that God has allotted him.
But He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.”After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.”
I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me.Never will I forget your commands, for through them you have given me life.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”Jesus addressed them once again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness. Rather, he will have the light of life.”
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). But God is rich in his mercy, and because he had such great love for us, he brought us to life with Christ when we were already dead through sin—it is by grace that you have been saved.

For the one who sows to his own flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. The one who sows in his flesh will reap a harvest of corruption, but the one who sows in the Spirit will reap from the Spirit the reward of eternal life.
