so the heart of man reflects the man. - Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
- That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
- Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,
but righteousness delivers from death. - For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
- Whoever gets sense loves his own soul;
he who keeps understanding will discover good. - Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.
- They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
the sun shall not strike them,
nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. - As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.
- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
- In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
