Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.He who guards his mouth makes his life secure, but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose.
God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.He gives a home to those who are forsaken and leads out prisoners amid chants of exultation, while rebels are forced to live in an arid land.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes.
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! Father!”
Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?Woe to anyone who rises up against his Maker, or to the pot that is displeased with the potter. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.And as we gaze upon the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, all of us are being transformed into that same image from glory to glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.For all have sinned and thereby are deprived of the glory of God, and all are justified by the gift of his grace that is given freely through the redemption in Christ Jesus.
