- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low and he exalts. - God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer's;
he makes me tread on my high places. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad. - A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother. - A man's gift makes room for him
and brings him before the great. - The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. - So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
- You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
- As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.
- Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. - The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
when he delights in his way. - The one who conceals hatred has lying lips,
and whoever utters slander is a fool. - What is desired in a man is steadfast love,
and a poor man is better than a liar. - Wealth gained hastily will dwindle,
but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. - Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
- And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all offenses. - For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.
- The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. - Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a reproach to any people. - A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life;
he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure.Next verse!With image
