- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
He brings low and lifts up. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. - The blessing of the Lord makes one rich,
And He adds no sorrow with it. - Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
- A wise son makes a glad father,
But a foolish son is the grief of his mother. - A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men. - The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills. - The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. - Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad. - As you do not know what is the way of the wind,
Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child,
So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. - Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Whoever hides hatred has lying lips,
And whoever spreads slander is a fool. - Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
- Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way. - Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a reproach to any people. - What is desired in a man is kindness,
And a poor man is better than a liar. - Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
- Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished,
But he who gathers by labor will increase. - He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known. - For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
- God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
- He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath.
