- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
He brings low and lifts up. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. - The blessing of the Lord makes one rich,
And He adds no sorrow with it. - Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad. - A wise son makes a glad father,
But a foolish son is the grief of his mother. - A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men. - Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
- The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills. - The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. - Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- As you do not know what is the way of the wind,
Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child,
So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. - Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
- The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way. - Whoever hides hatred has lying lips,
And whoever spreads slander is a fool. - Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- What is desired in a man is kindness,
And a poor man is better than a liar. - Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished,
But he who gathers by labor will increase. - God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
- A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps. - Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a reproach to any people. - A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones. - You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
Your right hand has held me up,
Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me,
So my feet did not slip. - Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known.As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him. He who is slow to wrath has great understanding,
But he who is impulsive exalts folly.Next verse!With image
