- The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - The Lord God is my strength,
and he will make my feet like hinds' feet,
and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. - Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. - The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it. - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. - A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. - If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
- A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
- The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. - He that hideth hatred with lying lips,
and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. - The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar. - Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished:
but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. - As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
- And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
- Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. - For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
- A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - Righteousness exalteth a nation:
but sin is a reproach to any people. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
- He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. - He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.Next verse! With image
