- But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
- It is better to take refuge in Yahweh,
than to put confidence in man. - For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me? - How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word. - But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
- There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. - For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
- But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
- Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
