Bible Verses about 'Matthew 11:2'

  • Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
  • Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
  • Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.
  • Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
  • Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come.
  • I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
  • What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
  • He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
  • I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
  • I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.
  • For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.
  • For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
  • While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
  • He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
  • If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.
  • If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.
  • For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.
  • Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.”
  • He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
  • But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
  • ‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
  • Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
  • Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
  • But many will be last who are first, and first who are last.
  • Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.

It shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. Whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant.

One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city.
