For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |

But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. | But make sure your statement is, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil origin. |
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. | For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. |

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. | The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it. |
And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews. | And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.” |
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. | Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. |
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. | Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. |

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? | Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? |
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. | For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. |
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. | Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. |
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. | Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. |
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. | She will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. |
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. | Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. |
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. | Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. |
