May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the perseverance of Christ. | And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. |
And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. | And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. |
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time. | Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. |
Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. | Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. |

And like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation. | As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. |
For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. | For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. |
He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may take refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and wall. | He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. |
It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. | Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. | Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. |
Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the Lord your God gives you. | Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. |
Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all! | Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. |
By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him. | In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. |
May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands. | And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. |

Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming. | And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. |
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. | For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. |
And I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. | And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. |
