Beloved, I pray that everything is going well with you and that your bodily health is equal to that of your soul. | Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. |
The Lord said to Moses, “Climb up to me on the mountain and remain there. I will give you stone tablets with the laws and commandments that I have written for their instruction.” | And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. |

You shall obey his statutes and the commandments that I give you today, so that all may go well with you and your children after you, and that you may live long in the land that the Lord, your God, has given you for all time. | Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever. |
Do not let this book of the law be absent from your mouth; meditate upon it day and night, so that you might carefully observe everything that is written in it. Then you will prosper and be successful. | This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. |
Observe the ordinances of the Lord, your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and what he witnessed in writing in the law of Moses. In this way you will prosper in whatever you do and wherever you go. | And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself. |
If you obey the command that I give you today, to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways, and to observe his commandments, statutes, and decrees, then you will live and multiply, and the Lord, your God, will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess. | In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. |
May the favor of the Lord, our God, rest upon us. And may the work of our hands prosper— indeed, may the work of our hands prosper. | And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. |
May the Lord grant strength to his people. May the Lord bless his people with peace. | The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. |
I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. | These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. |
The grass may wither and the flower may fade, but the word of our God will endure forever. | The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. |
May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us. | The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. |
May mercy, peace, and love be granted you in abundance. | Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. |
Do not judge, so that you in turn may not be judged. | Judge not, that ye be not judged. |
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may attain eternal life. | For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. |
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may grow rich in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. | Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. |
“All things are lawful,” you may say—but not all things are beneficial. All things may be lawful—but not all things are constructive. | All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. |
May the God of perseverance and encouragement grant that you may live in harmony with one another, following in the example of Jesus Christ. | Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. |
A man’s ways may seem right to him, but the Lord weighs the heart. | Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. |
Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away. | Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. |
A man may plan his own course, but the Lord makes his steps secure. | A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. |
May God continue to bless us and be revered to the ends of the earth. | God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. |
I treasure your word in my heart for fear that I may sin against you. | Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. |
One person may consider one day to be more sacred than another, while another may judge all days to be alike. Let everyone be convinced in his own beliefs. | One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. |
Salvation comes from the Lord. May your blessing be upon your people. Selah | Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. |
May he give you your heart’s desire and grant you success in all your plans. | Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. |
