| Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. | Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. |
| The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.” | And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. |

| Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time. | Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever. |
| Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. | This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. |
| Observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. | May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. | The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. |
| Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. | Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. |
| Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. | Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. |
| My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ. | That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. |
| Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. | So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. |
| May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. | Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. |
| Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. | Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. |
| From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. | Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. |
| May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. | God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. |
| I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them. | And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. |
| May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you. | Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. |
| May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. | Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. |
| I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. | That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. |
| I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. | For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. |
| A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart. | Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. |
| Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved. | Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. |
| The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. | The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. |
| May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance. | And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. |
