Bible Verses about 'Men'

While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing, who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”
He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.”
For no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit. For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.
Who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error. Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting. For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature, and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper.
But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ. For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.
If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus.
Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again? He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.
Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.

A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.A person’s gift makes room for him And brings him before great people.
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all people.
One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. One who walks with wise people will be wise, But a companion of fools will suffer harm.

And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people, knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
