Bible Verses about 'Men'

  • And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”
  • Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
  • For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
  • He was despised and abandoned by men,
    A man of great pain and familiar with sickness;
And like one from whom people hide their faces,
He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.
  • And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.”
  • For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature, and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper.
  • He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.
  • But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
  • And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.
  • If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
  • Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
  • For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus.
  • And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
  • Who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross.
  • For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
  • But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.”
  • Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
  • Since you are precious in My sight,
Since you are honored and I love you,
I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life.
  • Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
  • Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among people with whom He is pleased.
  • Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
  • Let your gentle spirit be known to all people. The Lord is near.
  • Then, when they had fasted, prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
  • A person’s gift makes room for him
And brings him before great people.
  • Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people, knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all people.
