Bible Verses about 'Men'

He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”He said to them, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing, who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”While he was departing as they gazed upward toward the sky, suddenly two men dressed in white robes stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking up into the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”
But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”He replied, “What is impossible for men is possible for God.”
Who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error. Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and offered worship and service to the creature rather than to the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural practices. Likewise, men gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameful acts with men and received in their own persons the fitting penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since these people did not see fit to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their depraved way of thinking and to all types of vile behavior.
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.He was despised and shunned by others, a man of sorrows who was no stranger to suffering. We loathed him and regarded him as of no account, as one from whom men avert their gaze.
For no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit. No prophecy ever came from human initiative. Rather, when people spoke as messengers of God, they did so under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.Does it now appear to you that I am trying to gain the approval of human beings rather than the approval of God? Am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved.
If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. If in speaking I use human tongues and angelic as well, but do not have love, I am nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus, himself a man.
Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”Jesus looked at them and said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”After Jesus had been born in Bethlehem of Judea during the reign of King Herod, wise men traveled from the east and arrived in Jerusalem, inquiring, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw the rising of his star, and we have come to pay him homage.”
Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.”
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Therefore, I tell you that every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men.Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to all those on whom his favor rests.

A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.A gift opens doors for the giver and wins him access to the powerful.
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone.
Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!Keep alert; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again? He is not here. He has been raised. Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee: that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified and rise again on the third day.
One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but he who mingles with fools will suffer harm.
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Children’s children are the crown of old men; the glory of children is their parents.Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their parents.
But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.

I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.I tell you that on the day of judgment people will have to render an account for every careless word they utter.
