- For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
- He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
- And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
- Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
- Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
- For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. - Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
- For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
- This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?Next verse!With image
