He is the reflection of God’s glory and the perfect expression of his very being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. | Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. |
Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God. | So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. |
Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children. | Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children. |
